Jamocha IDE
What is Jamocha?
Jamocha is a Jave-based IDE. While taking a Java programming course at the local community college, I found myself bored with the class. After years as a hobbyist programmer, the introductory class felt remedial. To get the most out of the class I decided to focus on helping other students while developing an editor to improve my own skills.
Half way through the course, I had a working editor. At first, it didn't look like much more than a simple Notepad application with my own syntax highlighter, but for the remainder of the course I did all my homework in my own editor. Later on, I continued to develop Jamocha into a more robust IDE.
